I just finished reading this book and was so encouraged. In these particularly grim times, it's important that we all find clear guidance and inspiration in every aspect of our lives; business is probably one of the toughest for me. Ayelet not only shares her personal experiences of navigating the often ignored, crappy aspects of "business culture" but provides a comprehensive model on how to bring more warmth and humanity to business. It can be applied to all industries, to all people (this isn't just a "chick thing"). I also liked how many talented folks interviewed by Ayelet were included here.
When I first met Ayelet in person, she said, "common sense isn't that common." From that minute on formed a connection with her, that has only grown stronger. The stories in this book are of ordinary people making what most of us think are extraordinary steps in directions we only wish we could move. Ayelet has taken these stories and woven them together in a way that helps us see that we are all extraordinary and are able to take our own ordinary steps when we start seeing what is possible when we do. Any business leader asking what more that can do for their organization should read this book. Any individual who has been asking themselves if there is a purpose to what they are doing should read this book. Any person who feels pushed aside by society, whether young, old or just different from the rest, should read this book. This is a book for humanity that will help any business or individual.
